“I’ve been a member of President’s Club since its inception and enjoy seeing the diverse and great things that get started by our members support.”
Bob Bulla, co-chair
Bob Bulla is a 1961 graduate of the W. P. Carey School of Business. In 1985, he was tapped by then-ASU President Russell Nelson and ASU Foundation President Lonnie Ostrom to lead the first capital campaign. One of the goals was to establish a fund for discretionary funding for the ASU president, and, thus, the ASU President’s Club was founded. Bob contributed to the fund and has remained an active member since.
His interest in higher education also led him to be appointed to the Arizona Board of Regents (2002-2010), where he served as president. His love of ASU is evidenced by more than 30 years of giving to a variety of programs as well as serving as a board member of the ASU Alumni Association and ASU Research Park and founding the Carey School alumni association.
Professionally, Bob has a long history with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, where he served as president and chief executive officer. He was the longest tenured chief executive officer in the Blue Cross Blue Shield system, retiring in 2003.
Bob dedicates time to many other community organizations as well.
