Learn about the innovative ways ASU is responding to Arizona's and the nation's need to create excellent teachers.
ASU's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College has received national attention for the innovative ways it is now preparing teachers. Responding to Arizona's and the nation's need to create the next generation of excellent teachers, the Teachers College has increased the rigor of its course offerings, is collaborating with faculty from other colleges in developing new courses for students who want to be teachers, and now requires a new and enhanced full academic year of clinical experiences (formerly known as student teaching) that is unique in the state. In addition, world-renowned experts in science, technology and other areas have joined the Teachers College faculty. In this presentation, Director of Teacher Preparation Elizabeth Hinde will describe the new programs and direction for preparing quality teachers.
